For this project, I designed and curated a solo exhibition for Bouke de Vries, an artist who reconstructs broken ceramics into new forms. The exhibition, titled Memories of Destruction, explores themes of fragility, loss, and transformation.
I selected 20 pieces that capture the beauty found in imperfection. To reflect the materiality of glass and the theme of transparency, I incorporated vellum paper into the design of the exhibition book and posters, echoing the delicate and layered nature of de Vries' work. The book features his essay, autobiographical writings, and interviews, offering deeper insight into his personal philosophy and creative process.
